Dr. Cappuccino
I've been told I have a coffee problem. I've also been told I have an alcohol problem. So, I figured why not be more efficient by putting these 2 problems into 1 solution: The Dr. Cappuccino. It's a sweeter drink, with a couple of sugary liqueurs - just as a heads up. But if you like coffee and alcohol, let's just say this is the drink for you.
This one is pretty artsy. Start by adding the rum, coffee liqueur, chocolate bitters, and cream to a cocktail shaker with about 1 cup of ice. Shake the ingredients over ice for about 25 seconds; then, strain the mixture into a separate glass, discard the ice from your shaker, and pour your mixture back in. Now, add in the egg white to the shaker, but this time, don't add ice. Instead, shake the mixture this time without ice vigorously for about 1 minute (this is called a reverse dry shake - you shake some ingredients over ice, strain, and repeat with eff white and no ice). Finally, strain the final mixture into either a rocks glass or stemless wine glass (ice optional). Let the drink sit for about 1 minute before serving to allow the foam to form fully as the top layer of your drink. Gently set the three coffee beans on top and enjoy!
Cocktail hack: if you have a kitchen torch, you could toast the coffee beans first for an added aroma. Simply set the coffee beans on a metal pan, torch them for a few second each, and then set them on the foam layer of the drink.
