The Old Fashioned

Check out the full recipe here! Ask any cocktail bartender what drinks they get asked to make most often, and almost surely the Old Fashioned will be in the top 5. This is the original cocktail, dating all the way back to the 1800s.

Manhattan

Check out the full recipe here!  Like the old fashioned, a Manhattan is another simple whiskey or bourbon-based drink with bitters. What makes it unique, though, is it's use of sweet or red vermouth and cherry garnish instead of the old fashioned's orange garnish.

Martini

Check out the full recipe here! Perhaps one of the most iconic cocktails of the 20th century, the martini is in a league of it's own for its elegance despite only featuring 2 ingredients. My preference is a gin martini (the original martini) that is more vermouth forward, but feel free to get creative or try one of the variations we talk about in our martini liquor learnings post!

Ramos Gin Fizz

Check out the full recipe here! This drink is basically sorcery. If executed correctly, it should yield a stiff, frothy foam that lifts slightly above the rim of your glass without spilling everywhere. It takes a good amount of time to create - so much so that many mixologists know this one as the most annoying cocktail to make, but the payoff is worth the work!

Gimlet

Check out the full recipe here! The gimlet is another classic cocktail that requires only three ingredients and is a breeze to make. Feel free to use your gin of preference, but I prefer to use a traditional London dry gin. You can learn more about the many types of gin here at our liquor learnings section!

Daiquiri

Check out the full recipe here! The daiquiri is another simple recipe with only 3 ingredients that work together to create a powerful flavor profile of rum and lime. Like the old fashioned, this one requires a bit of muddling work to create simple syrup, but its 100% worth it!
